Ophthalmology
Optivet has invested heavily over the last 10 years in order to remain at the forefront of the disciplines we are involved in. In Ophthalmology we have an extensive ability to be able to do glaucoma surgery using the latest lasers and have developed a variety of techniques in order to prolong the life and vision of an eye and to keep an animal as comfortable as possible while retaining that vision.
We also offer vitreoretinal surgery here, which makes us one of the only specialist centres in the UK able to do retinal reattachment surgery. We take cases from across the country and indeed from Europe for this surgery and are able to restore vision in animals that would otherwise be completely blind.
