Kate qualified as a Veterinary Surgeon from Cambridge in 2000. She spent many varied years in mixed and small animal general practice, moving to Plymouth in 2007 where her interest in Ophthalmology was ignited.
In 2016, she embarked upon an ophthalmology certificate under the mentorship of Chris Warren in Tavistock, in a practice which had an ophthalmology referral service. This was an exciting and rewarding time where she developed the skills to be a clinical ophthalmologist. Kate joined Optivet Referrals Devon when it opened in April 2023.
Outside of work, Kate is a busy mum of two teenagers. She enjoys walking with the family Labrador, Rosco (aka “goofy” which suits him better), running or cycling in the fresh air and generally keeping active in the beautiful Devon countryside.
