Gemma graduated from the University of Adelaide in 2014. She joined a busy general practice clinic in greater Adelaide for 2 years before embarking on a rotating internship at the Small Animal Specialist Hospital in Sydney. Gemma then moved to Melbourne where she completed an ophthalmology internship and residency at Melbourne Eye Vet. Gemma passed her Fellowship exams in 2025. Gemma joined Optivet Referrals in 2023, and now resides and works at the Optivet South London branch.
